Wow, you just articulated what I’ve always thought about. I remember reading Karen Blixen’s brilliant descriptions of Africa in her book, “Out of Africa .”

I wrote a piece on Medium shortly afterwards. I struggle with description. But after reading Blixen, I suddenly felt less timid, less reined-in, and more adventurous.
