What you’ve written applies—I believe—to most stringently organized religious sects. Don’t ask questions. We are better than “them.” A binary worldview.

A wise man once said: Don’t let any book do your thinking for you. I’ve taken that advice to heart. There’s lot of good stuff in every holy text. We need to take what’s good and leave out what doesn’t work in the context of our times.
