I’m trying to be more of a Planner, although I’m naturally a pantser. It’s frustrating because I often get stuck.
But the weird unlooked-for benefit of a rambling draft is that I sometimes end up with two stories that are theme-adjacent but not identical. 😗 So when I break up the piece, I have two separate stories.
