I'm not the most successful writer on Medium. And I think it's--partly--because I don't spend enough time reading and writing on Medium. I don't publish enough. Also, I'm not very PR savvy.

But right now, given how much time I can spend on the platform, I'm okay with the status quo. I get to write about anything I want to. And I get to read pieces by some truly amazing writers who inspire me to better my own craft.

Yes, I would love lots of claps, comments, and engagement. And I did go through a brief low period because I felt my writing didn't resonate with readers on Medium. But now I've become quite detached. I write what I want and send my story out into the world to seek its fortune. If it does well, fine. If not, tomorrow's another day.
