I really like the idea of giving 50 claps or none at all. It’s something I have recently started doing as a reader.

As a writer, I have a follower who regularly reads my stories but claps only once. I’m just happy he reads my stuff.

Of course, I love 50 claps BEST of all. But I wonder if it helps us as writers to know how well each of our stories resonates with our readers if they clap on a range from 1 to 50.
