If a non-white Indian person like me can “borrow” freely from white culture, why is it “appropriation” the other way around?

Mingling of cultures can bring people closer together, instead of locking them/us into watertight compartments.

If I heard about a non-Indian person starting an Indian restaurant, it might surprise me a little. But it’s a free country. Unless it’s illegal or cruelly offensive, let people be.
