10 Word Challenge: Four Dark-ish 10 Word Stories

I usually write about hummingbirds and sunshine. But Spooktober cometh, so I gave my writing a noir-ish turn.

I wrote these as four separate ten-word stories. But they seem to go together.

1. She’s impeccably coordinated. Her little black dress matches her heart.
2. When and if I propose, could you please say, “NO!”
3. She laid him where he could push up the roses.
4. Whaat? Risen so soon, Philip? You went in just yesterday!
